I'm using RStudio (Version 0.98.738) RMarkdown to create files. When I click "Knit" (and it uses pandoc to convert Markdown to HTML) on a file hosted on an NFS filesystem (using CIFS on Redhat RHEL 6.0) I get an error:

Error: pandoc document conversion failed
Execution halted

If I Copy the files to a local drive everything works fine. Suggestions?
