Default formatting in Docx export

Hello,
I am using Atom markdown and pandoc for exporting an .md file to .docx 
using a command like this:  -o output.docx -f markdown -t docx 
MA_markdown.md
The resulting word document does not contain the default formattings that I 
defined in the Normal.dotm file.
How can I change the default formatting that is used for a pandoc docx 
export file?

Look up the `--reference-doc option in the pandoc manual
(https://pandoc.org/MANUAL.html). It has a pretty extensive discussion
of how to set up a "reference.docx" file to control the default
formatting of docx output.

Thanks, I didnt have the pandoc folder in Roaming, but I created one and it 
worked!
