I have a completed document that takes citations from a file representing my entire Zotero library (using the wonderful Zotero BetterBibTeX), but I would like to make an archived version of the Markdown that includes the raw citation data in a YAML metadata block. The entire library is enormous. I used pandoc-zotxt to generate this in the past, but it does not parse unsupported fields or date ranges from Zotero (unlike BBT). Does anyone happen to know of a method of creating a filtered bibliography file for pandoc-citeproc that contains only the items cited in a particular document?

(It strikes me that it would be especially convenient if pandoc could itself include the references data in a YAML metadata block at the bottom of a file when generating standalone Markdown, but that seems rather a lot to ask.)

All best,

Andrew Dunning
