Ok, we could also use 

\babelfont[english]{rm}[Path=fonts/,Extension=.otf,UprightFont=*-regular,BoldFont=*-bold,ItalicFont=*-italic,BoldItalicFont=*-BoldItalic]{texgyretermes}

instead of 

\babelfont[english]{rm}{fonts/texgyretermes-regular.otf}

This could make everything easier…
