I switched over from biblatex citations (for in-pdf linking to the entry in
the bibliography) to the same feature using link-citations: true in the
metadata.
However, it took me a long time to realize that citecolor in this context
doesn't mean anything. In the LaTeX, when link-citations is true, the link
is a \hyperlink and so it's linkcolor that matters.
Perhaps the documentation should make it more clear?
