How do I create visually good looking output from a file.

I have attached two documents a .docx and .ppt

To create these, all I did was hit new document and choose one of the 
existing template

If I have a .md file. How can I get it to physically look good and what 
tools are available

1. How do I create a template for  the output file being a .docx, a ppt, a 
pdf using templates
2. How do I create the templates
3. I am on a PC do I have to put the templates somwhere specific on my drive
4. Is there a place to see existing templates
5. What is the command I need to use to do that
6. Same question for HTML

If there is a video I should watch let me know. once again I am new to this 
and not a programmer.  I haven't found too many Pandoc videos
