rtf to html conversion problem

Hi, I try this from command line:
pandoc.exe -s myfile.rtf -o myfile.html  
and getting this message:  Unknown input format rtf

Am I doing something wrong?
All other similar commands work perfectly (eg pandoc.exe -s myfile.docx -o 
myfile.html)

Works for me, which version of pandoc are you using? Have you tried 
updating?

It appears to have been a version issue. The problem was with  version 
2.10.1
It works when I switched to a later version. 2.14.2
