Set captions' language to spanish not working when adding --filter pandoc-crossref

So I have set the language to spanish, so my pdf exports captions like this

Figura, Tabla

But when adding --filter pandoc-crossref the output is in english (so 
Figure and Table). Well, I want to maintain the spanish language when 
exporting to pdf. 

Any idea why this happens and how to solve this???

pandoc-crossref has its own mechanism to set the caption text. To change the terms for “figure” and “table”, you can add to your YAML header:

figureTitle: Figura
tableTitle: Tabla

Please see the manual of pandoc-crossref for more information.
