I'm using pandoc with Zettlr, and installed pandoc through my default repository on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. It seems, though, I'm not using the latest pandoc version, and I see that's because the latest version available for Ubuntu 18.04 is not the most recent pandoc version, according to https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=pandoc

Anyone an idea why this might be? Is that because Canonical freezes packages, or has there been no-one to take up the task of updating pandoc for Ubuntu 18.04?
