word.docx to markdown

pandoc -t gfm --extract -media  -o doctogitlab.md .\doctogitlab.docx

I'm using this program line. I can insert the output in gitlab.
Question:
How can I improve the output?
- Remove links
- no redundant blank strokes
- as exact an image and representation of the Word document as possible.
Many thanks already now for specifications and further arguments in the 
program line to optimize the Output.

You can toggle a lot of extensions to the `markdown` format, see 
http://pandoc.org/MANUAL.html#extensions

To remove links, you could write a short filter, see 
https://pandoc.org/lua-filters.html
