pandoc install snafu

pandoc install snafu

I have two OSX 10.10.5 systems on which I attempted to install pandoc.  On 
one, things went fine. On the other, however, I got build errors 
(see http://pastie.org/10991075 and http://pastie.org/10991077 for 
details). I tried Googling around, but didn't find anything relevant. Might 
anyone here have seen this problem before and/or have a suggestion on what 
to try?

From the first error build, that looks like it's a non-pandoc problem
(gl2ps is failing for octave).


In the second, ":info:build ! I can't find file
`loadhyph-mul-ethi.tex'."  makes me think there's something wrong with
your TeX installation.

I've had success with Homebrew on OSX; maybe try that?  Or build by
hand using cabal-install/stack?

Not sure who's maintaining the MacPorts package of pandoc, 
see http://pandoc.org/installing.html for better methods...
