Titles of links

This may be either a crazy request or something that already is possible,
but I haven't seen it:

I'm using links-as-notes in converting to PDF. Would there be any way to
automatically pull the titles of the links into the footnotes, looking
somewhat like a citation?

I can see arguments for or against that, but it would be cool to have, if
interesting enough to implement.

You could use a filter to convert links to notes in the AST;
this would give you the flexibility to do what you're describing.

Thanks. That makes sense. It also looks like it's way beyond my current
meager programming skills. Maybe someone more able might be inspired to try
it.
