I'm pleased to announce the release of pandoc 2.9,
available in the usual places:

This is actually a fairly minor release, but it makes
some API changes that require a version bump to 2.9.
The main motivation is to fix some regressions in 2.8:
- A regression whereby attributes on headers would
not be promoted to containing sections when `--section-divs`
was used or a slide show produced.
- A regression with `--toc-depth`.
In addition, a bug in template partial resolution
has been fixed. (This bug allowed files in the working
directory to override default partials when default
templates were used.)
The API changes concern Text.Pandoc.Templates and are
described in the changelog.
