[-- Attachment #1.1: Type: text/plain, Size: 1133 bytes --]

Greetings,

I am using pandoc for converting HTML file to LaTeX file
The commands I used are:
*1. *pandoc input.html -f html -t latex -s -o output.tex
2. *pandoc input.html -f html -t latex -o output.tex*

I am trying to open the converted LaTeX file in Overleaf
<https://www.overleaf.com/>. But Overleaf doesn't support non-BMP
characters and any file which has these characters are flagged as
non-editable in Overleaf.
Example: files having some mathematical symbols like, alpha, beta, lambda
etc.(Please refer to the attachment)

So, I am searching for pandoc command which can remove/identify these
non-BMP characters present in my HTML file.

Please suggest some pointers
Thank you in advance

Regards,
Mohan

Does overleaf have an option to use xelatex or lualatex as
the processor? These should be able to handle these characters
(assuming you're using a font that has them).
