I'm using pandoc 2.14.2 on Windows 10 Home.
If I convert the following asciidoc file, say foo.adoc, to docx or odt,
I don't see the equations numbering:
= Test
:stem: latexmath
:eqnums:
.First equation
[latexmath#eq-1,reftext=Equation 1]
++++
\begin{equation}
\sum_{i=1}^n i^3 = \left(\frac{n(n+1)}{2}\right)^2
\end{equation}
++++
.Second equation
[latexmath]
++++
y^2 \mod p = (x^3 + 7) \mod p
++++
.Third equation
[latexmath#eq-3,reftext=Equation 3]
++++
\begin{equation}
C = \alpha + \beta Y^{\gamma} + \epsilon
\end{equation}
++++
See <<eq-1>> and <<eq-3>>
I'm using the command:
pandoc --from docbook --to docx --output foo.docx foo.xml
Notice that the corresponding html, which is obtained using:
asciidoctor foo.adoc
does show the equations numbering.
Many thanks in advance,

Cesar
