I was LaTeX'ing up a theorem from my thesis, and typed: dvix theorem1 &- (the '-' was an accident). So of course it ran dvix in the background, then ran '-' with no arguments... and looped. Took me a few tries to get back to the xterm and hit ^C frantically as my screen filled up with dvix's...
