One will have to link the correct os header to say os.h before compiling. Changes to Makefile will be reduced to installation parameters. For those cases where no suitable header is provided, there should be a summary of defines somewhere. New headers should be collected somewhere. Malte. ps: AIX compilers define "_AIX".
