There is also another way, if you don't like the sh -c part:
#!/bin/sh
if [ "$1" = "have-env" ]; then
exec chpst -u "$LOGUSER" svlogd -tt "$LOGDIR" \
else
exec chpst -e ./env "$0" have-env
fi
