I saw a presentation on the Diana Project a few months ago, and it seems like it's making a real positive difference for women in computing. Check it out. Without intending to set off anybody's political correctness alarms, an interesting interesting comment from the presentation was that a large percentage of the current crop of female computer folks are into cryptography. Without passing any sort of judgement on it, it seems like those sort of puzzle-solving problems are sucking a lot of women into CS. Jon
