The fabulous Dr. Honeyman made a gift to me of his Lions' books which were
printed by Bell Labs. Does anyone know WHEN that happened or WHO made it
happen?

I figure it must have been at least 1 year and maybe 2 after Lions'
originals.

ps. *I* have no problem spelling Lions' name. A problem *with* the
spelling, perhaps.

"One night in 1978 John received a telephone call from
Doug McIlroy at Bell Laboratories saying that they would like to
assume responsibility for distributing the notes".

Berny Goodheart, in the back of the peer-to-peer version,
"About the author".

change in distribution was mentioned by John Lions in
;login: March 1978

also in
tuhs Documentation/AUUGN/AUUGN-V16.5.pdf p 15

"One night (sometime in 1978?), I had a phone call from
Doug McIlroy saying BTL would like to assume responsibility for
distributing these documents, and would I agree? I did. It saved
me much work."
