One of the Sun workstations had a=20 Sunview screen lock running and the guy I was visiting was on the phone.=20 I told him I=E2=80=99d just unlock the thing myself. I promptly set= forth=20 to do so and got it open. He quickly said, =E2=80=9CI have to hang up an= d go=20 check on something,=E2=80=9D and came over and asked how I=E2=80=99d done t= hat. The screen lock was just a very large window forced to the top of=20 everything on the screen. If you hit the hot key to iconify it, you=20 had a fraction of a second to interact before it reasserted itself. So=20 you keep hitting iconify and maybe getting a letter or two typed into=20 one of the one terminal windows at a time. You run ps, find the pid of=20 the screen lock process, and kill it. -Ron
