There's a closed pull request on the void-packages repository chromium: add sndio patch https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/pull/22888 Description: Add sndiod support to chromium based on https://github.com/gliaskos/freebsd-chromium It tries to open a sndio device first, if it fails it continues to run the original codepath with pulseaudio (if enabled) + alsa. This is similar to pulseaudio behaviour where it also tries to open access to pulseaudio.
