Yes, muffin did not install the *.gir and *.typelib files in the default locations but in `/usr/lib/muffin`. I thought the changes 0fbf98e and b031311 fixed it. I currently have no idea and unfortunately not too much time to investigate the problem. We also have GIR_EXTRA_LIBS_PATH for cases where non-standard paths are required.
