Bumping the CMA share worked, that should be the last of any major problems.

For reference, [this is the only line that's changed](https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/blob/7e79f74593cb70f7c134b4c2249f107bbab9411d/srcpkgs/pinephone-kernel/files/config#L4864) (increase CMA to 256MB from 64MB)
