@sgn @julio641742 I confirmed that with https://github.com/void-linux/void-mklive/pull/150 this mklive the system does boot without dracut (on f2fs and ext4). Sorry I didn't put the patch up sooner.

Just to clarify, you can install dracut if you need it for LUKS and the like, it will work if you do. The base package just doesn't include it as it's not needed for the base-system install.
