Right, I have been creating my extlinux.conf using the `u-boot-menu` package, so I did not notice when I accidentally left out the installation of the kernel.d hook in the u-boot PR. I updated that PR to include it so it should work like the existing u-boot package. But I would still suggest testing each PR separately, as they are independent.
