Just looked at the `hid_mouse_ignore_list` in https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/drivers/hid/hid-quirks.c and it looks to me like the only option for ignoring the affected devices is to compile in the IDs. Unless I'm overlooking something, the right course of action would be updating the list upstream. I definitely do not think we should maintain a patch for this.
