There is an updated pull request by tibequadorian against master on the void-packages repository

compton-conf: remove package
Not usable because compton was replaced by picom and this program writes outdated values into a wrong configuration file.

On https://github.com/lxqt/compton-conf it also says, that it will receive no further updates and should be considered deprecated.

Another possibility is to use this fork: https://github.com/redtide/picom-conf? Unfortunately, this doesn't have a release yet.
