In fact, you need to install the ncurses-libtinfo library:

    xbps-install ncurses-libtinfo-libs

And then you create a symbolic link:

    ln -s /usr/lib/libncurses.so.6 /usr/lib/libtinfo.so.5

On my side Scilab works
