I think the tests are new to this release. These may require a manual setup phase to generate temporary keys. I will look into it when I have a chance.
Looks like make check explicitly calls pip to pull in some local deps. Is that permissible for the check phase? (Not super familiar with pytest)

I am skipping some tests that run a local dropbear instance, such as the channel tests, which don't work from within xbps-src and probably shouldn't be run there anyways. In fact, the only tests that run are for dropbearconvert.
Also, we let xbps install the python checkdepends and not pip.
