Updating xdg-desktop-portal by itself should be fine (I haven't tested it though).

xdg-desktop-portal-gtk is already updated in this PR the most recent release disables many features since they were moved into xdg-desktop-portal-gnome with GNOME 42. If you really want to, you can update xdg-desktop-portal-gtk and re-enable the features disabled for GNOME 42, but then I'd have to disable them again in this PR. It's just more work, but whatever the maintainers are okay with I guess.
