Closed issue by hiltjo on void-packages repository https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/issues/38320 Description: ### Is this a new report? Yes ### System Info Void 5.18.14_1 x86_64 AuthenticAMD uptodate rrmFFFFF ### Package(s) Affected libopenal-1.22.0_1 supertuxkart-1.3_1 openra-20210321_1 ### Does a report exist for this bug with the project's home (upstream) and/or another distro? Seems to be fixed in version 1.22.1 (latest as of now is 1.22.2). VoidLinux seems to be using an older version 1.22.0. See: https://github.com/kcat/openal-soft/blob/master/ChangeLog Specificly: "Fixed ALSA not being used on some systems without PipeWire and PulseAudio." ### Expected behaviour Audio was working fine previously with the same config: I don't have pulseaudio, sndio or pipewire installed, just alsa, which used to work fine. ### Actual behaviour No audio. Workaround seems to be setting the environment variable: ALSOFT_DRIVERS=alsa ### Steps to reproduce - Run: openra-ra - No audio :( Workaround: - Run: ALSOFT_DRIVERS=alsa openra-ra - Audio works \o/
