This is done so that these packages don't create broken shlibs issues down the line with future updates. It's really important to always check the xbps transaction summary for that reason. I'm not sure how I feel about the `removed-packages` mechanism, It feels a bit heavy-handed, but it's the current way things are done when a package is dropped from the repos.
