I did look at any other such templates I could find, there was even one for void linux that uses qt5, however using all of those qt5 dependencies still led to the same original type of error I had encountered using qt6.

Also what's the story on protobuf versions? I can find protobuf28 packages available in repo but not in srcpkgs.
