I can confirm that adding quiet to the mount options of /boot resolved problem.
It is still bug in xbps, as it should correctly be able to write linux5.15 files on the vfat partition (this is widely used scenario) mounted with gid option, nevertheless, adding quiet is easier (especially if user previously added gid himself :)
