It provides a vanilla experience and doesn't rely on source code in development (hence no -git packages). These are all fantastic things. However, the policy regarding themes should, IMHO, have some exceptions. Most distros have a nice GRUB theme at least when you run their live ISOs. If there's popular demand for this type of thing, I think it would be great if users had the chance to build/install such a theme. I mean we have papirus-icon-theme in the default repo and that's cool. Why shouldn't we have a nice-looking bootloader theme with the Void Linux logo and these nice little fonts that reside in the repo anyway? :)
