New issue by Sqvid on void-packages repository
https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/issues/44238
Description:
### Is this a new report?
Yes
### System Info
Void 6.1.31_1 x86_64 GenuineIntel uptodate rrFFFFF
### Package(s) Affected
linux
### Does a report exist for this bug with the project's home (upstream) and/or another distro?
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120311
### Expected behaviour
Btrfs balance succeeds or stops gracefully.
### Actual behaviour
Running a btrfs balance on one of my external SSDs causes a segfault. This bug has also been reported upstream but I am not sure if there are any local kernel configs that make it relevant here. Please close if it is not appropriate.
dmesg output: https://pastebin.com/raw/CHxHXE0g
### Steps to reproduce
Difficult because it doesnt happen on every SSD. Drive is otherwise totally functional.
On some SSDs:
1. run `btrfs balance start -v --full-balance /path/to/drive/`
2. seg fault
3. cry
