New comment by nezos on void-packages repository

https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/pull/31063#issuecomment-848227182

Comment:
> You could disable just the 3 tests that are failing by patching them out.

The problem stems from the proj package. In voidlinux the proj package lacks additional grid files that proj uses for achieving preciser coordinate transformations (probably a proj-data is needed). Without those grids some tests fail. After patching the individual test files (for skipping the tests) and as the tests are groupped in categories, later also in the code an assertion is caused that would require heavy patching.

My opinion is that the tests should be kept skipped until the grid files are included in proj or as a new package.

I asked in the Q&A of pyproj and learned that there are markers in newer versions:

https://github.com/pyproj4/pyproj/discussions/858#discussioncomment-797681

Markers are available since version 3.0.0 but it requires PROJ version 7.2. Current PROJ version in voidlinux is 6.3.2, so bypassing all grid related checks is currently very hard to do.
