That said it looks like a 0.10.0 release is coming soon (or has come already, I can never find things in the gitlab UI) and has a fix for a performance regression in 0.9.0, so I'm going to convert this to a 0.10.0 PR. Once that's done and I've gotten it through the CI checkers if you want to build it and make sure libvirt still works that would be great since I don't currently have anything set up that uses libvirt.
