Subject: [ISSUE] btrbk: Optional dependency `pv` is obsoleted by `mbuffer`
Date: Mon, 21 Mar 2022 20:11:05 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <gh-mailinglist-notifications-41a7ca26-5023-4802-975b-f1789d68868e-void-packages-36266@inbox.vuxu.org> (raw)

New issue by camoz on void-packages repository
https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/issues/36266
Description:
[btrbk](https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/blob/master/srcpkgs/btrbk/template) still depends on `pv`, but that dependency was dropped in `btrbk-0.29.0`, see the [ChangeLog](https://github.com/digint/btrbk/blob/master/ChangeLog):
```
* Dropped run-time dependency on "pv" (in favor of "mbuffer").
```
Like `OpenSSH`, [`mbuffer` is optional](https://github.com/digint/btrbk#prerequisites) btw.
