There was a closed PR #37922 (even before this issue was open) but it's not accepted due to packaging concern. I mainly use espanso on Windows and Void-glibc X11 so have no idea whether this would work on musl-libc or Wayland today. And even if it works, espanso only partially supports non-SystemD systems via unmanaged mode so maybe a post-installation hook (to add this to autostart or register a runit service) is also needed.
