New issue by wretchedneo on void-packages repository

https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/issues/55214

Description:
Will there be any positives of enabling NO_HZ_IDLE and disbaling NO_HZ_FULL in the default kernel which ships with void linux?

As far as i know, NO_HZ_FULL is mainly intended for servers and realtime-systems
while NO_HZ_IDLE is intended for home/personal use.

Please correct me on this if i am wrong.

Comment:
Don't know enough about the differences to have an opinion but a quick glance over arch and fedora configurations showed they have the same setup as our kernels.

Comment:
I think this commit answers the question.
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=176b8906c399a170886ea4bad5b24763c6713d61

Turns out that if no argument/parameter is passed with NO_HZ_FULL enabled, it just behaves like NO_HZ_IDLE.

Forgive me I should have researched about this before opening an issue.
