I agree that a forum would be an improved medium for troubleshooting
problems and asking questions. Google Groups is good but I think it's more
'conversation' based. One such example of an improvement would be the
ability to mark a topic as solved.

That would be nice i agree, however the forum mods are pro-systemd biased
and any negative discussion of it, even on technical grounds, can result in
disiplinary action against the poster. Just a word of warning.

Slackware forum has been there forever and there is always some heated
discussion on systemd or PAM there.
