Hi everyone. I have a little old laptop, and last kernel upgrade (4.9)
didn't work for it. Sooo...

Booted up with old kernel (4.8).

# vkpurge rm 4.9.2_1

# xbps-remove -Oo

Name Action Version New version Download size
linux4.8 remove 4.8.17_1 - -

Size freed on disk: 55MB
Free space on disk: 3380MB

I don't wanna remove it. i'm using it!

# uname -a
Linux void 4.8.17_1 #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Jan 9 08:32:27 UTC 2017 i686
GNU/Linux

I wanna keep it! (maybe forever)
# xbps-pkgdb -m hold linux4.8

I want to remove th 4.9 kernel, so....
# xbps-remove linux-4.9_1
linux-4.9_1 (remove) breaks installed pkg `base-system-0.112_2'
Transaction aborted due to unresolved dependencies.

Ok. I'm starting to feel a little violent....
# xbps-remove -RF linux-4.9_1
