It's all I used to use to connect to my own xmpp server. I used it every day, now since using void I switched to profanity and haven't looked back. I could try to package psi but I'm much too lazy these days. Have you opened up a issue in the link provided by Juan RP? Just title it: "Package Request: psi, psi-plugins" and see if anyone is willing to package it. :)
