possibly.

A good start would be:

cd ~/.P ; find . -type f \! \( -name '*.gif' -a -name '*.jpg' -a -name '*.jpeg' -a -name '*.bmp' \) -print | xargs cvvzf /tmp/guckes.web.980417.tar.gz
