    So my only solution is to use $psvar[], or reserve %v only for
things that doesn't need to be reexpanded.

    I knew that there would be a very good reason for this
limitation. Thanks for the explanation, I'll try to build my PS1 not
using %v and trying not to mess things too much ;)
