Hi Charles,
'&>' is not a POSIX compliant. It's a shortcut that bash uses, AFAIK.
You could use '>&', which is zsh's shortcut, or (if it's a script,
that uses '#!/bin/sh') stay compatible and use: '> log 2>&1 &'.
