Subject: Dereferencing a symlink...or that alike...
Date: Sun, 18 Aug 2013 04:40:02 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20130818024002.GC3129@solfire> (raw)
Hi,
suppose I have the following symlink in my $HOME
etcetera -> /etc
. Is there a way to get back "/etc" only (not the contents
of /etc/. nor "etcetera") when doing a 'ls' or such?
Thank you very much in advance for any help!
Best regards,
mcc
