That works, and I haven’t found anything else that does. This: readlink /etc/localtime | sed ’s#.*/zoneinfo/##g' gives me the exact same information as sudo systemsetup -gettimezone | sed ’s#^Time Zone: ##g’ which is what I wanted. Thanks!
